Stefan has represented plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of intellectual property litigations and pre-litigation disputes throughout the United States, and overseen foreign litigations in Germany, France, and India. He has worked on and led all aspects of cases, including pre-litigation, litigation, trial, and appeal. He has generated over $100 million in revenue for his clients through patent monetization efforts, obtained and opposed injunctions in trade secrets cases, defended service providers accused of copyright infringement for third-party content posted on their websites, and blocked infringers from selling knock-offs online.

• Represented client in related case against insurance company that failed to provide coverage, and achieved victory on summary judgment that resulted in complete recovery of attorneys’ fees incurred by client in both actions
Perez v. Lewis et al
• Represented plaintiff California inmate Saul Barrios Perez in civil rights action against eight correctional officers for use of excessive force in violation of the 8th Amendment in Northern District of California
• Successfully tried case to jury in San Jose, CA resulting in compensatory and punitive damages award
• Conducted direct and cross-examinations, and delivered closing arguments

• Represented defendant and cross-complainant Dali in patent litigation in Northern District of Texas resulting in multimillion dollar award to client on its patent infringement counterclaim against plaintiff CommScope Technologies
